This study presents a 3D aerodynamic model of the Jilin University Pope-type wind tunnel. The aerodynamics model is established based on the large-scale wind tunnel experimental data. The model is validated by numerical results and wind tunnel experiments, and the validated aerodynamic model is also useful for designing wind tunnel tests in the initial design stage because the parameters of the model can be fixed according to the numerical results and an appropriate sensitivity analysis. It lays the foundation for the later studies on a more practical and comprehensive aerodynamic wind tunnel model and parameter optimization.
Aerodynamic wind tunnel tests have been conducted to study the aerodynamic properties of the profile of the Jilin University opening wind tunnel with a view of improving the research power of the wind tunnel and facilitating the optimization of the design of the Jilin University wind tunnel. A special large-scale numerical simulation model is set and compared with the experimental data to analyze the specific wind tunnel characteristics. The validity of the numerical simulation results is validated by wind tunnel tests. The model can be used as a wind tunnel standard for structural optimization and noise reduction. The vertical rear wall is 2.5 m high, the total height is 3.4 m, the total volume is about 24,000 cubic meters, and the width of the tunnel is 3.1 m, with the gain-maximum wind speed of the tunnel reaching more than 34 m / s.
