Community goals can be assigned from the community manager to items to raise their status on the game. They can be set as simple as wanting to raise spawner level by 10, or setting the goal to upgrade all 8 megaports to level 25. As with effects, community goals will expire at a certain time period.
To participate, complete any of the given weekly goals, or if the Community Manager sets a special goals, set that as the goal to complete and be eligible to win prizes. Prizes will be sent out based on the number of goals completed and can be any of the following:
For each goal that was completed eventually, the community manager will send out a check to the winner's registered email address by Dumpster Dive v2, while anyone else gets a small Resource Scraps bonus. The check will show the amount that has been sent along with the date and time. Winning community goals receives a special level that is visible on the player's profile page. A certain level of bounty is required before the Community Manager will send a check in the mail with each goal completed.
The Community Manager will change the goals as weekly, and will notify players in-game for any goals to complete. Completing any of the weekly goals by the deadline will unlock its corresponding avatar from the bonus avatar series. If the Community Manager terminates the goals early on week's end, they will be available for an additional week and are required to be completed within the termination date.
