This is the first release of 1.03B. However, it will not be the last. I'm releasing a smaller patch, 1.03B-1-2A, that fixes an issue that prevented some of the old portraits from saving properly. This patch will be released within a few hours. After that, it will be 1.03B-1-3A, and so on. I will provide instructions on updating 1.03B to each new patch in a post once they're available.
Thanks to the players who have sent in their feedback in response to the preview. This is already helpful in planning future patches, and gives me a good idea of what the community would like to see. I'm also making plans now for the next big feature addition, which will be on a par with the 1.03B features.
Unlike most previous attempts at an official 1.03, this one is brand new and does not include any old 1.03 files to'mask' it. You'll need to run the latest patch to get the new features. If you run Ironman for the first time, you'll need to update the game.txt file to allow Ironman heroes to save.
- You can edit the game.txt by editing the game.txt before installing, or by using the standard.swt files provided. Your edits will be saved to the version of the game.txt provided, but be aware that any changes you make to a file will be overwritten during each patch. However, if you want to make permanent changes to the game.txt simply place it in your save dir, or in the Mods folder. You can also use the backup function in the pack to back up your save on harddrive.
